More Than a Swim Team
We help young athletes grow through expert coaching, teamwork, and character-building—both in and out of the pool.
About The Sailfish Swim Team
The Sailfish Swim Team is a recreational/competitive swim team training out of the Scituate Racquet and Fitness Club in Scituate, MA. Our goal is to provide opportunities for swimmers to be successful both in and out of the pool. We want to develop strong swimmers, strong leaders and strong role models through teamwork, hard work, community involvement and respect for self and others.
Mission Statement
To provide swimmers the opportunity to develop to their fullest potential - both in and out of the pool.
The Team
The Sailfish Swim Team was started in September of 2012 to provide competitive swimming, technique improvements and training to athletes in the South Shore. We will promote swimming and safety in and around the water. Swimmers on the team range in age from 7-18 years.
Sailfish League Swimming
The Sailfish Swim Team competes in dual meets as well as with USA Swimming and AAU Swimming.
During the fall/winter Short Course (25yard pool) season we compete against local teams within a 30 mile radius. Our summer league is the South Shore Swim League (some pools are 25 yard/some 25 meter) and we typically have 1 meet a week.
Our USA Swimming team competes at many regional USA swim meets during both the short course (fall/winter) and long course (spring/summer- 50-meter pools). Most of our swimmers are highly competitive in the New England Regional Championship meets as well as at Age Group Championships.
Each summer, we also compete in the AAU Junior Olympics National meet in late July. In 2026 it will be held in Des Moines, Iowa.
